Water Lily House Location
Water Lily House, a project undertaken by Four Pattana Company Limited, served as my internship opportunity during which I made contributions including drawing and producing exterior renderings.
Situated in the outskirts of Bangkok, Water Lily House boasts a convenient location in close proximity to Safari World. This charming residence, envisioned for Sonthirat Sonthijirawong, a former Thai politician, was meticulously designed as a single-story dwelling.
Following careful consideration and discussions with the client, the placement of the house was finalized adjacent to a serene water lily pond. The objective of this design choice is to create a haven where residents can escape the bustling city life and fully immerse themselves in the refreshing and green atmosphere.
The architectural layout of the house features a unique cross-shaped plan, effectively dividing the residence into four distinct areas. These areas consist of the entrance, adorned by a welcoming living room, an elegant dining room, a functional pantry, and a comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The ingenious arrangement of these four spaces creates a harmonious flow throughout the house, with a central open courtyard serving as the focal point. This courtyard is gracefully situated at the heart of the home, allowing natural light to permeate each corner.
Situated facing the small road, the front of the house shows the vibrant green glass, establishing a warm and inviting atmosphere.
As one strolls along the pathway in front of the house, their gaze is treated to a captivating view that leads directly to the entrance door.
Nestled by the serene lily pond, the dining room's expansive window reveals the extravagant interior of Water Lily House. A harmonious blend of natural light, curated furnishings, and lush greenery creates an ambiance of refined sophistication, attracting guests with its opulent beauty.
From the vantage point of the lily pond, another captivating perspective emerges, showcasing the minimal design of Water Lily House amidst its green surroundings. The residence seamlessly blends into the nature.
A cross-sectional cut unveils spaces of Water Lily House , where on one side, a dining room harmoniously coexists with a bedroom located opposite. Simultaneously, the gaze captures the enchanting sight of an outdoor courtyard nestled at the heart of the residence.
