DIY Bench
My classmates, Sathida Taesriprasert, and I collaborated on designing and constructing this unique bench during our first year. Our goal was to create a versatile piece of furniture that could serve as both a chair and a comfortable bench for laying or napping.

To ensure maximum comfort and functionality, we decided to design the bench as two separate pieces. This allows both of us to sit side by side comfortably. When it's time to take a nap, we can easily connect the two pieces together, creating a spacious and ergonomic surface to lie on. The careful attention to ergonomic design ensures that the bench perfectly accommodates the human body for an enjoyable resting experience.
The production process of this bench involved creating a 3D model using Rhinoceros software. We then generated precise cutting patterns for assembling the physical pieces. To ensure the bench's feasibility, we employed an interlocking method during construction, ensuring secure final product. Moreover, we incorporated a vertical folding design of the two pieces, allowing for convenient space-saving when not in use.
